BANCO Hardware Requirements

Minimum Hardware Requirements, All Editions
Pentium® III, 256 MB of RAM and an SVGA (800 x 600 dpi) or better display, mouse, 60 MB available hard disk space. Microsoft Windows® 10 and 32-bit operating systems (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, 2003 and XP). (Novell Netware® servers are also supported.)

Recommended Hardware
Pentium® 4 with at least 512 MB of RAM, wheel mouse, 17" or larger monitor, 1024 x 768 or higher display resolution.

Workstations require 20 MB of hard disk space to store local programs. A live database grows over time at a rate determined by the volume of quotes and contracts created. Sites should allow at least 400 MB for their data.

The software can work with any printer supported by the operating system. Ink Jet or laser printers are recommended.

Daily database backups are highly recommended.

UPS (uninterruptible power supply) units are recommended for file servers and any workstation running BANCO. These units help to minimize the impact of power fluctuations and interruptions. While the BANCO software is robust, power interruptions can lead to the loss and/or corruption of data.

In network environments the data intensive BANCO software works best with high speed physical networks  and a generously configured server, i.e. lots of RAM and high speed disk channel(s).
